Role and Responsibilities

The Quality Engineer (Responsible Welding Coordinator) is responsible for the maintenance of the Integrated Management System and processes in compliance with ISO 9001, EN1090 (ISO 14001, ISO 45001). Responsibilities include the coordination and management of the NCR process (CACAPADA and Verification), identification of risk in quality processes and subsequent mitigation, and ensuring incoming material, in-process parts, and final components meet quality standards via the electronic assurance system. Participation in cross-functional improvement initiatives including Lean, QHSE, and Documentation Digitalization. Coordination of external bodies.


Essential Duties & Responsibilities

* Support the Head of Quality and HSE in the maintenance of the Management System.
* Coordinate recording, containment, corrective and preventive actions for Quality Issues.
* Participate and lead improvement initiatives for digitalization of systems, processes and Lean initiatives.
* Training and guidance on best practice in Root Cause and CAPA.
* Organizing calibration of equipment.
* Contribute to Technical Review process and Project handovers.
* Performing and organizing of Audits internal and External.
* Organizing and management of welding inspection contractors.
* Ensuring WPS, WPQR, and Welder qualifications are Maintained.
* Creation, control and compilation of ITPs and LTQRs to meet customer and project traceability requirements.
* Reporting of KPIs and Presentation to Management team.
* Implementation and maintenance of LPA (Layered Process Audits).
* Perform and assist in NDT inspection when required.
* Maintenance of FMEA Process.


Education and Experience

* Minimum of 5+ years’ experience.
* Demonstrated track record of training personnel to achieve the Quality standards - Essential.
* Experience in Quality Assurance for production manufacturing – Essential.
* Thoroughness and attention to detail - Essential.
* Welding and Fabrication background - Essential.
* Strong computer skills - Essential.
* IAuditor – Desirable.
* CSWIP/ PCN2 Visual Inspection – Essential.
* DPI, MPI - Desirable.


Licensing / Certifications

* ISO9001 Auditing certificate – Essential.
* ISO14001 / ISO45001 - Desirable.


Skills and Abilities

* Management Systems qualifications/experience – ISO9001, ISO14001, ISO45001, EN1090.
* Trained Internal Auditor certification.
* In-depth understanding of technical documentation.
* Familiarity with statistical analysis.
* Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
* Team player; good analytical skills.
* Ability to understand and interpret engineering drawings and customer specifications.
* Training/Experience in Lean and/or Six Sigma methodologies.
* Root Cause and Corrective Action practitioner using 8D, Ishikawa process or similar.
* PC literate – MS Word, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint.

* Strong interpersonal skills and ability to manage multiple projects.
* Strong organization, planning, and action plan execution capabilities.

* Structured problem-solving abilities.
* Can-do attitude and willingness to support business needs.
* Stay calm under pressure.


Knowledge

* Microsoft Office Suite.
* Materials — Knowledge of material science and their properties.
* Production and Processing — Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and distribution of goods.
