Position Overview
Position: Sterile Processing Supervisor
Location: Boston, MA
Hours: Thu & Fri 3 PM - 11:30 PM, Sat & Sun 7 PM - 7 AM
Duration: Permanent
Compensation: Up to $80,000+
Your Role
As a Sterile Processing Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the highest standards of patient care. Your responsibilities will include:
* Planning, organizing, and overseeing daily operations for the Sterile Processing Department (SPD) and materials processing services.
* Monitoring workflow and prioritizing assignments to meet clinical requirements and schedules.
* Developing and implementing internal policies for the processing, storage, and handling of medical supplies and equipment.
* Selecting and supervising staff, conducting performance evaluations, and providing guidance and feedback.
* Ensuring compliance with hospital policies, safety standards, and infection control requirements.
* Collaborating with customers to resolve issues and ensure the availability of necessary materials.
* Maintaining inventory of instruments and equipment within your area of responsibility.
* Staying updated on current trends in procurement and processing through professional development.
What We’re Looking For
To qualify, you must have:
* A high school diploma (Associate's degree preferred).
* A minimum of three years of experience as a Sterile Processing Technician.
* Previous leadership or supervisory experience in Sterile Processing is strongly preferred.
* Current Sterile Processing certification (CRCST) is strongly preferred.
* SPD Manager certification (CHL) is a plus.
* Strong communication skills to effectively mediate and resolve conflicts.
* The ability to coordinate with various stakeholders, including employees, vendors, and medical staff.

Pay and Benefits:
The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $38.00/hr. Eligibility for benefits may depend on your job classification and length of employment. Benefits include:
