SEN Support Worker Basingstoke Full-Time Term-Time Role
Basingstoke & surrounding areas Paid to scale based on experience 8:30am 3:30pm 5 days per week
GSL Education are seeking a compassionate and dedicated SEN Support Worker to support children with additional needs across inclusive schools in and around Basingstoke.
This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who is patient, caring, and passionate about making a real difference in the lives of children with Special Educational Needs (SEN / SEND).
The Role
* Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with additional needs
* Assist with learning, communication, and emotional regulation
* Support teachers in delivering tailored education plans (EHCPs)
* Help create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment
* Encourage positive behaviour and social development
* Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and parents

We work with a range of supportive mainstream and specialist schools across Basingstoke and Hampshire; all committed to inclusive education and pupil wellbeing.
What We are Looking For
* Experience supporting children or young people (SEN, care, youth work, support work or similar)
* Understanding of Special Educational Needs (autism, ADHD, SEMH, etc.); desirable
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Patient, empathetic, and resilient approach
* Ability to build strong, trusting relationships with pupils
* A valid UK driving licence and access to a vehicle; preferred

Safeguarding & Requirements
