Shape future digital professionals.Are you a skilled media or digital technician ready to support the next generation of creative and technical talent?Join Bournemouth & Poole College and play a vital role in supporting high-quality teaching, developing students' technical confidence, and ensuring our industry-standard facilities run seamlessly.About the roleThis is an exciting opportunity to provide front-line technical support across our Digital & Creative Media (DAM) and Digital & Computing (DAC) provision.Working across both Bournemouth and Poole campuses, you'll support a wide-ranging curriculum spanning film production, animation, esports, digital media and computing, ensuring students and staff have access to fully functional, industry-standard environments.You'll play a key part in enhancing the student experience—supporting lessons in real time, troubleshooting technical issues, and helping learners build skills and confidence in using professional tools and technologies.What you'll be doing:Preparing, setting up and maintaining studios, IT suites and specialist equipmentProviding in-lesson technical support to staff and studentsTroubleshooting hardware, software and digital workflow issuesSupporting students in the safe and effective use of industry-standard equipmentAssisting teaching staff during practical sessions and assessmentsDelivering small-group workshops and technical demonstrationsSupporting media production activities including filming, editing and content creationManaging equipment, stock control, inventory and technical resourcesMaintaining safe working practices and supporting risk assessmentsContributing to a positive, organised and professional learning environmentAbout youYou're a proactive and technically skilled individual with a passion for media, digital technologies and supporting learners.
You will bring:A Level 2 (or equivalent) qualification in English and MathsRelevant industry qualification or degree in a related fieldStrong, up-to-date industry experience in media, digital or computingExperience maintaining and troubleshooting technical equipmentKnowledge of video production, photography and Adobe Creative CloudExperience supporting learning, training or practical environmentsStrong organisational, communication and IT skillsA proactive, professional and “can-do” approachThe ability to work collaboratively and independentlyA commitment to safeguarding, inclusion and student successDesirable:Experience in education or the public sectorKnowledge of 3D tools (e.g. Blender) or studio lighting techniquesFirst Aid qualification (or willingness to achieve)We encourage early applications, as we may close the vacancy once we receive a sufficient number of strong applications.Working at Bournemouth and Poole CollegeMore than just a job.At Bournemouth & Poole College, we are passionate about turning potential into professionals.
