Comsetic Surgery Fellowship, The Beverley Hospital 2025
We are actively looking for a Clinical Fellow (registrar equivalent ST3-8) in Plastic or Breast Surgery for a fixed term period, ideally for 12 months but open to applicantions for 4-12 months. Starting from October 2025 at The Beverley Hospital, Gateshead, Northeast England
The post holder will join The Beverley Hospital plastic and breast aesthetic surgical team in enhancing their skills within cosmetic surgery. The post holder will get the opportunity to develop their cosmetic surgery skills both in theatre and clinics.
The principle workload is cosmetic surgery; primarily breast, face & neck as well as body contouring procedures. The Department specialises in cosmetic plastic surgery to wide range of private patient groups.
The post-holder will be our main trainee within The Beverley Hospital setting. On the standard days of the rota the post-holder will work alongside our surgical consultants in theatre carrying out various surgical proceduresand also be responsible for the ward patients. The post-holder will see patients admitted and discharged to and from the hospital. There is opportunity to attend outpatient clinics as well as the main body of the work in theatre for local and general anaesthetic operating lists. Teaching and supervision is provided for all the Cosmetic Surgery fellows.
We have detailed protocols for all clinical management which are available in the Department. These are expected to be adhered to at all times.
Educational objectives:
To develop the post-holder's clinical and surgical expertise in Cosmetic Surgery. This is not a recognized training post; however, the post holder will have Consultant-led education and supervision and will be supported in their professional development.

Qualifications: MRCS complete
On GMC registered/ licensed Medical Practitioner
Essential - Candidates are able to speak and write English to the appropriate standard necessary to fulfil the job requirements
Essential - Understanding of principles of clinical audit
Essential - Appropriate to job description/Relevant experience in specialty/Sub specialty

FRCS complete - plastics or general (breast surgeon)
