Overview
This post has arisen due to staff expansion for a period of 6 months initially, subject to review. The post will enable us to maintain an adequate level of obstetrics and gynaecology activity and will be an excellent opportunity for candidates looking to gain further experience in the specialty.
Employment details
Type: full-time position. If you are unable to work full time for personal reasons you will still be eligible to be considered for the post. If such a person is appointed, modification of the job description will be discussed on a personal basis following consultation with College Tutors.
Training note: This post is a service post and will not be recognised for training. We will encourage and support involvement in gynaecological governance and quality assurances. You will have an opportunity to build your skills in hysteroscopy and benign gynaecology.
Location and rota
Post will be based at the Women\u2019s and Children\u2019s Hospital, Hull Royal Infirmary, but the post holder will be expected to provide services across both main hospital sites as required. Currently we have a 1:11 rota, subject to change. You will be working as 2nd on call and will be supported by resident or non-resident consultant on call. We have resident consultant cover for 24 hours Monday to Friday; weekends and bank holidays – nights and 8:00 - 11:00 and non-resident after 11:00.
