Early Years Teacher required for September 2026 Permanent, full-time position Monday - Friday Experience preferred Salary: Main Scale 1 – 3 £32,916 to £37,101 per annum John Taylor Multi Academy Trust (JTMAT) believes in the power of education to improve lives – and the world. The successful candidate will ideally: Up-hold the new school vision, which is driven by our ‘Achieve, Believe, Care’ mission statement for the school. Be willing to work hard and will have a flexible approach to continuing professional development. Be an exemplary teacher who will lead and support by example and display the highest expectations of their own teaching and the teaching of others within the EYFS setting. Have a passion for the outdoor learning and a child centred approach. We are looking to employ someone who has a vision that learning in the Early Years happens all the time in lots of different situations. Place parental involvement and the local community at the heart of providing a strong, collaborative form of education within the Early Years setting. Ensure that they are up to date with recent initiatives, ideas and developments in the Early Years curriculum. Have a vision of where children have come from and where they will move to, understanding what makes effective transition into the EYFS and Year 1 and beyond. Possess a strong, nurturing behaviour management approach coupled with excellent and highly effective SEND knowledge and child development knowledge. Have an understanding of effective collation of learning journals and the positive impact that these can bring to the evidence trail. Online learning journal experience is desirable but not essential. Be supportive and motivational towards all colleagues and conduct monitoring actions linked to the EYFS setting. Contribute to the life and mission of the school through involvement in the work of the Parents, Teachers and Friends Association and with the delivery of extra-curricular clubs for the children. Ensure our pupils are safe, through establishing a trusting, open culture, placing a great emphasis on the safeguarding of all. Demonstrate a proven ability to work with all colleagues and have a strong understanding of how to create a vibrant and stimulating EYFS setting in which children and staff can thrive and flourish.
