We're looking for an Environmental Manager to join our HMP Glasgow project team based in Glasgow
Location: Glasgow, Scotland
Contract: Full Time, Permanent
What will you be responsible for?
As an Environmental Manager you will be working within our HMP Glasgow team delivering a major construction project that will provide a critical asset to the local area
Your day to day will include:
* Manage Environmental Advisors within the team to ensure adequate resource allocation, quality of work and completion against project programme.
* Work with pre-construction and project team to deliver sustainable outcomes and manage environmental risk
* Identify and work with competent consultants/service providers of environmental sustainability services to preconstruction and operational teams
* Identify and support project team with obtaining authorisations / permits / licences / consents and engage with relevant Regulatory bodies.
What are we looking for?
This role of Environmental Manager is great for you if:
* A degree in an environment, sustainability or related discipline and ideally Membership of a relevant professional body (e.g. IEMA or equivalent)
* Experience in managing an environmental project team.
* A strong working knowledge of carbon, resource efficiency and contaminated land remediation
* Hands-on experience of delivering complex projects within the built environment, building services or engineering, and development of low and zero carbon energy strategies. Good understanding of building services, their operation and applicability
* Ability to establish positive relationships with project teams, client and stakeholders including consultants, contractors, sub-contractors and regulator.
