Role Overview
You will be part of the Stevenage cluster, covering areas such as Stevenage, Hitchin, Letchworth Garden City, Welwyn Garden City, and Hertford. You will work on a schedule of pre-booked appointments, focusing on planned work rather than emergency callouts.
Responsibilities
* Carry out routine servicing and diagnostics using advanced mobile equipment.
* Perform in-depth repairs typically completed in a workshop.
* Provide member advice and recommendations based on inspections.
* Conduct vehicle safety checks aligned to RAC standards.
* Follow a clear digital schedule and plan work in advance.
* Use the fully equipped RAC van, fuel card, uniform, tool set, and diagnostics.
* Apply technical skill and problem-solving to help members get moving safely, quickly, and confidently.
* Work independently while maintaining quality and safety standards.
* Handle each job differently, adapting to varied service and repair needs.

Qualifications
* Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent).
* Minimum 2 years’ experience as a vehicle technician working on light vehicles.
* Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.
