Job Title: Service Supply Chain Coordinator

Job Summary:
In this role, you will be responsible for controlling and coordinating the company’s service purchasing, inventory, and logistics. The inventory aspect involves supervising supply, storage, and accessibility of items to ensure adequate stock without excess, while the logistics aspect includes integrating information, transportation, material handling, and packing from origin to consumption to meet customer needs. You will proactively coordinate and fulfill the purchasing team's requirements.
The successful candidate must have a dynamic work attitude and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Duties & Responsibilities:
General Performance & Delivery
* Manage order placement with suppliers based on forecasts, stock levels, and information from the Scheduling team; chase progress to ensure timely delivery; resolve supplier queries and communicate stock levels.
* Manage customer expectations to meet predefined service levels.
Inventory
* Ensure ongoing communication with key internal departments.
* Accurately measure and report inventory holdings for visibility.
* Manage component replenishment lead times within KPIs, including stock levels and supplier availability.
* Control returns and defective goods procedures.
* Assist in managing duplication, obsolescence, and non-moving stock.
* Assist with asset management and maintenance (tools and test equipment).
* Understand storage space demands.
* Adhere to quality and environmental management practices.
The goal is to balance inventory levels effectively as business needs evolve.
Logistics
* Control the timely return of parts to suppliers and to factory or third-party warehouses.
* Monitor logistics partners' performance and costs.
* Review courier solutions with the Service Supply Chain Supervisor.
* Coordinate internal loan/hire of test equipment and tooling items to customers and engineers.
Purchasing
* Raise purchase orders promptly and update systems accordingly.
* Support cost reduction initiatives and track raw material costs and market trends.
* Report on supplier performance and develop internal systems for MRP, stock control, and forecasting.
* Implement procurement strategies for legacy products and control rebates.
QHSE
* Vet and approve suppliers, contractors, and subcontractors.
* Assist in minimizing environmental impact and increasing awareness of health, safety, and environmental management systems.
Reporting
* Support the National Service Supply Chain Supervisor with reporting requirements.
* Ensure compliance with QHSE standards and meet KPIs and reporting metrics.
Interactions:
Customers, Schedulers, Regional Operations teams, Key Accounts, Technical Support staff, Service Contract Sales, Product Operations, Subcontract Service Providers & Suppliers.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
* Experience in inventory, warehouse, or logistics roles.
* Knowledge of planning, forecasting, and stock management principles.
* Understanding of warehouse and logistics processes.
* Strong customer focus, organizational, and communication skills.
* Negotiation skills and ability to work under stress with various departments.
