Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Finance Administrator to join our dynamic finance team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting financial operations, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, and contributing to overall financial efficiency.
This is an important role to support the effective financial administration of Scottish Agritourism.
Scottish Agritourism is a not-for-profit membership organisation and sector body focused on providing leadership, business support and representation to over 300 businesses throughout Scotland. The agritourism sector is growing in Scotland and our organisation has ambitious plans to develop services and benefits to members and increase membership numbers further.
The role of Finance Administrator ensures that the business runs effectively and our members and stakeholders receive a high level of service.

Reporting to the Scottish Agritourism Manager and liaising with the Sector Lead, who is a board member.
The Role
Working as part of our team, we are ideally looking for someone who can come into the Scottish Agritourism office at Auchterhouse, near Dundee once per week for two to three hours, and log on to our systems from home the remainder of the week as necessary. It is expected that this role will require in the region of 20 hours per month and possibly more at busier times (March/April).
Scottish Agritourism shares an office with three other enterprises who also need similar financial administration support from time to time therefore there may be an option to increase the hours on offer to 2 -3 days per week in total across the businesses, depending on the availability of suitable applicants.
Rate of Pay – dependant on experience.
Key focus areas
· Raising invoices and sending invoices out, plus credit control for payment of all monies due to the organisation
· Managing automatic invoicing and payments from sheep CRM for membership renewals
· Paying invoices that have been approved for payment
· Bank reconciliation
· PAYE and payment of monthly salaries
· Quarterly VAT return
· All liaison with HMRC
· Preparing for year-end accounts and other activities as required
· Updating sheep CRM as necessary
Essential Skills and Experience
* Database management, first-class attention to detail
* Experience in a similar accounts and financial administration role
* Experienced user of Xero accounts software
* Skilled in Excel
* Excellent communicator and first-class organisation skills
