Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with a welcoming primary school in Wallingford who are seeking a skilled and motivated SENCO to join their team. This is a unique role, offering the chance to combine 2 days of classroom teaching with 2 days of SENCO responsibilities, providing the perfect balance of direct teaching and strategic support.
About the Role:
* 2 days teaching a primary class, delivering engaging and inclusive lessons.
* 2 days SENCO responsibilities, including leading on SEND provision across the school.
* Coordinating with teachers, parents and external agencies to support pupils with additional needs.
* Managing and maintaining EHCPs, provision maps and SEN records.
* Supporting staff through advice, training and strategies to ensure inclusive practice.
About You:
* Hold QTS and have experience teaching within a primary setting.
* Hold the National Award for SEN Coordination (NASENCO) or be willing to work towards it.
* Have strong knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice.
* Be an excellent communicator with the ability to support and inspire both staff and pupils.
* Be passionate about ensuring every child has the opportunity to succeed.
