Overview
We have an exciting opportunity to join our HR team in an advisory role on a 12‑month FTC, based in our Glasgow office.
Responsibilities
* Work with the HR BP to build relationships within business units and understand commercial impact.
* Advise, support and coach people managers on HR policy application.
* Manage employee relations cases end‑to‑end, including conduct, absence and performance matters.
* Provide HR advice to employees, including policy guidance.
* Refine and operate key HR processes: exit interviews, visa renewal, family leave, flexible working, work abroad requests, coordination with HR Assistants and ad‑hoc reporting.
* Prepare and use management information to identify trends and issues with HRBPs.
* Support implementation of change management initiatives.
* Facilitate people‑manager skill development sessions within the wider business.
* Maintain accurate data on the HR system regarding employee relations.
* Assist HRBPs with cyclical processes such as annual pay and bonus reviews.
* Support development and implementation of policies and procedures in line with legislation and best practice.
Key Tasks

* Prepare and use management information to identify trends/issues.
* Provide support to HRBPs for change management initiatives.
* Facilitate people‑manager skill development sessions with HRBPs and/L&D team.
* Ensure accurate data is maintained on our HR system for employee relations cases.
* Assist HRBPs with cyclical processes such as annual pay and bonus reviews in line with firm’s reward strategy.
* Support HRBPs to develop, implement and maintain policies and procedures in line with current legislation and best practice.
Qualifications
* Solid grasp of employment law and core HR processes.
* Initiative and ability to make decisions with minimum guidance.
* Demonstrable experience in an HR generalist advisory role, ideally in a professional services environment.
* Experience guiding business managers in straightforward employee relations matters.
* Ownership of issues and ability to drive resolution whilst knowing when to escalates.
* Commercial perspective with a people‑focus.
* CIPD qualified or part‑qualified or able to demonstrate equivalent professional experience.
