Flight Crew Recruiter & Senior First Officer at Loganair
Overview of Role
Loganair is looking for a highly organised and proactive individual to support our Recruitment and Flight Operations teams with key administrative tasks. This role requires a strong background in customer service, document management, and scheduling, with excellent attention to detail.
As a crucial part of our recruitment process, you will play a key role in coordinating candidate assessments, managing communications, and ensuring seamless operations. Given the fast-paced and dynamic nature of the role, adaptability and strong problem-solving skills are essential. The ideal candidate will have exceptional communication skills to build and maintain strong relationships with candidates, internal teams, and external partners.
Key Responsibilities
•Manage the pilot recruitment inbox, handling communications with candidates and internal staff before, during, and after assessments, as well as throughout the onboarding process.
•Process and verify documents for potential candidates
•Assist in planning recruitment events, including scheduling assessments, ordering necessary resources, and coordinating with external partners to secure essential facilities.
•Liaise with the rostering and operations teams to ensure appropriate staffing levels for recruitment events and assessment days.
•Maintain and securely store candidate information, ensuring compliance with data protection regulations.
•Provide support by taking notes and collating minutes and action items at formal meetings as required.
•Help a varied group of SME’s across Flight Operations in their work by providing administrative support
Skills and Knowledge
•Strong time-management and organisational skills, with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
•Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel, as well as other essential business systems.
•A detail-oriented, adaptable professional with a passion for organisation and peopleAttitude•You will be able to develop constructive working relationships and demonstrate reliability, competence and pride in being part of a close-knit team
Training and Experience
•Previous experience in an administrative or coordination role
•Experience working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
•Confident managing multiple tasks and prioritising workload effectively
•Experience handling sensitive or confidential information with discretion
•Previous experience in a customer-facing role, handling emails, phone calls, and interactions in both positive and challenging situations.
•Experience working within a team to plan and execute events, including resource coordination and scheduling.
•Can work without close supervision, multitask, organise and prioritise workload to meet deadlines
•National 5 (N5) qualification /GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths (Grade C/4 or above)
•Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
•Experience working in a recruitment or HR team
•Familiarity with recruitment processes, right-to-work checks, and onboarding procedures
•Exposure to interview scheduling, candidate communications, and maintaining recruitment records
•A relevant business administration or HR qualification (e.g. NVQ Level 2/3, CIPD Foundation Certificate)
•Experience of working within an airline Flight Operations Team
•Knowledge of recruitment systems or Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS)
