About the Role
We are currently seeking a qualified and experienced Supervising Social Worker to join our Northwest team on a 12-month fixed-term maternity cover. This full-time position offers a competitive salary of up to £39,000 (dependent on experience) and comes with a range of fantastic benefits.
Your Responsibilities
* Provide direct support to foster parents with a manageable caseload, ensuring high levels of supervision.
* Conduct regular supervision sessions with allocated foster parents, monitoring their practice and compliance with regulatory standards.
* Collaborate with children, young people, foster parents, and other professionals to facilitate meaningful participation in meetings and decision-making processes.
* Engage in the recruitment, training, and ongoing supervision of foster parents.
* Maintain high standards through quality assurance and training roles.
What We’re Looking For
* A Social Work England qualification or equivalent, with current registration.
* Experience working within fostering and a comprehensive understanding of fostering regulations, child care law, and safeguarding legislation.
* Excellent communication skills and a commitment to high-quality practice.
* Good IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and database systems.
* A full driving licence and unrestricted access to your own vehicle.
* Willingness to participate in an Out of Hours rota for the Northwest region.
