About Almond Care Almond care is a leading provider of homecare services for individuals with complex healthcare needs, Looker After Children and Supported Living. We are seeking a driven and strategic Business Development Manager with experience in the Complex Care sector to join our growing team, You will collaborate with local councils, commissioning teams, and other stakeholders to secure new complex care and supported living clients. You will focus on expanding occupancy across Complex Care, supported living, Care Homes, and children’s services. Business Development Manager As our business development manager, you will drive the BD strategy and establish yourself as the lead on bid and tenders to take the business forward and you will collaborate with internal teams to ensure that mobilisations meet the required standard. You will have a background in complex social care and/or residential children’s services. Key Responsibilities * Identify and secure new business opportunities in the complex care market, including NHS, CCGs/ICBs, private funders, and case management companies. * Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders * Lead on tendering processes, bid writing, and proposal development for complex care packages and with placement teams for Children’s care * Work collaboratively with clinical and operational teams to ensure the successful onboarding of new packages. * Develop and implement strategic growth plans aligned with company goals * Represent the business at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities * Monitor market trends and competitor activity to inform strategy * Meet and exceed monthly and annual sales targets/KPIs Requirements * Proven track record in business development within the complex care, healthcare, or social care sector. * Strong understanding of complex care needs, including spinal injuries, acquired brain injuries, neurological conditions, and ventilated clients * Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills * Experience of procurement legislations and a clear grasp of procurement software * Previous bid writing experience and strong understanding or frameworks * Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and projects simultaneously * Self-motivated, target-driven, and able to work independently * Full UK Driver’s Licence and willingness to travel as needed What We Offer * 28 days annual leave (inc. bank holidays) * Free on-site parking * Employee assistance scheme * Remote/Hybrid Working * Company laptop and Mobile Phone All applicants will require an Enhanced DBS check.
