Role: Senior Azure Cloud Engineer
Location: London, UK(Hybrid)
Job Description:
• Azure Environment Setup & Configuration:
– Design, configure and optimize Azure application environments, resource groups, and networking components (VNets, Subnets, NSGs, peering).
– Implement best practices for security, governance, tagging, and cost management in Azure environment
• Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) Deployment & Management:
– Design, deploy, and manage AVD environments to enable secure, scalable, and high-performance remote desktop solutions.
– Integrate AVD with Azure Active Directory, profiles, and other necessary Azure services.
– Troubleshoot and optimize session host performance, connection stability, and user experience.
• Security & Compliance:
– Implement and enforce security best practices, including identity and access management (IAM), role-based access control (RBAC), and encryption.
– Ensure compliance with relevant data protection regulations and internal security policies.
• Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD):
– Define automated build and release pipelines, using tools such as Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins.
– Collaborate with development teams to streamline code deployments and optimize cloud usage.
• Documentation & Knowledge Sharing:
– Create detailed documentation on system architecture, migration processes, and operations guides.
– Provide training and handover materials to support teams and junior engineers.
• Monitoring & Troubleshooting:
– Establish monitoring solutions utilizing Azure Monitor, Azure Advisor, and other third-party tools.
– Proactively identify performance bottlenecks and lead incident resolution efforts.
Preferred/Additional Qualifications:
• Microsoft Azure certifications (e.g., Azure Administrator Associate, Azure Solutions Architect Expert).
• Experience with hybrid-cloud setups and multi-cloud environments.
• Familiarity with ITIL processes and service management.
