Job Description
The Role: A Nuclear Sector Market Lead reporting to the Energy Lead for Europe & India. The role focuses on Nuclear, Power Generation, Waste and Defense, leading business development, market intelligence and client relationships to grow profitability across all AECOM Business Lines.
Key Responsibilities
* Represent AECOM at industry events, conferences and client forums as the sector figurehead.
* Build deep relationships with key existing and target clients, collaborating with CAMs and regional sector leads.
* Coordinate with Client Account Managers to align priorities, create and convert opportunities across disciplines for YoY NSR growth.
* Act as the central contact for sector queries and collaborate with other business lines to increase revenue.
* Drive winning strategy, secure appropriate resourcing and bid leadership for strategic pursuits to optimise NSR and margin.
* Play capture manager for strategic opportunities where appropriate.
* Connect bid teams to sector expertise and share intel from client engagements to inform pursuit planning.
* Provide regular updates to leadership on pipeline, market trends and strategic risks.
* Maintain a diversified qualified opportunity pipeline in Salesforce, ensuring accuracy and actionable insight.
Qualifications – Minimum Requirements
* Proven success in business development or sector growth within a consultancy, specifically in Nuclear, Power Generation, Waste and Defence.
* Strong relationship building at senior client levels and strategic thinking.
* Seasoned capture manager with a track record of winning significant opportunities.
* Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation and influencer skills.
* Experience in sector‑related technical delivery and a recognised professional profile.
* Evidence of collaboration at regional and global scale.
Qualifications – Preferred
* Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline.
* Membership of a recognised professional body where applicable.
* Track record in supporting bids or proposals through coordination and information provision.
* Experience winning and capturing new business.
