Job Summary
To lead projects for the NHS North West Anglia Trust, primarily based at Hinchingbrooke hospital. The role involves planning, coordinating and overseeing a range of projects; as well as managing a team of employees and sub-contractors. Hands-on support is required whilst ensuring client satisfaction and best reputational and financial return for the Company. Collaboration with the wider ck4 team is essential to ensure the smooth running of projects.
Key responsibilities:
* Quoting of project works
* Overseeing all project works on site, working closely with project supervisors
* Selecting and coordinating contractors needed for projects
* Selecting and coordinating tools and materials needed for projects
* Manage, support and develop a team of engineers on site
* Cultivating strong working relationships to resolve project conflicts and making decisions where necessary with both clients and staff
* Tracking and analysing the financial performance of jobs
* Completion of site risk assessments and method statements and responsibility of H&S of staff
* Attending and providing information at the weekly team meeting
* Completion of works to target turnover and profit margin
* Following up on quotes sent
* Reviewing and updating labour planner, ensuring the team has continuous work
* Ensuring all enquiries are responded to in a timely manner
Education and experience needed
* Solid experience in the commercial industry
* Experience working in hospital environment
* Hospital specific training e.g. HTM compliance
* Interiors trade experience
* Previous experience of managing budgets and finance
* High level project management and implementation skills
* Ability to manage multiple strands of activity simultaneously
* Well organised and efficient, with a good sense of how to prioritise
* Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
* Able to work independently or within a team
* Well-developed interpersonal and negotiation skills
* Good attention to detail
* Positive, confident, polite and professional attitude
* Hands-on approach
* Full clean UK driving licence
* GCSE (or equivalent) Grade A-C in English and Maths
* SSSTS or SMSTS
* Formal project management qualification desirable (e.g. Prince 2)
* Proficient in using a computer (especially Word, Excel & MS Office)
