About us
We are seeking to appoint an inspirational English teacher to join a forward-looking and dynamic English team which is warm and friendly, with high expectations of everyone. The post is a full-time, permanent position within the English department.
The successful candidate will join our popular and flourishing faculty, with a focus on innovation and sharing good practice. We are looking for teachers who have a genuine enthusiasm for teaching English and who have the ability to engage and motivate students. You will be expected to teach English across both KS3 and KS4, with the possibility of also teaching at KS5. We welcome applications from both experienced and newly qualified teachers.

Desired Criteria
* Recent and relevant experience of teaching English to post-16 students
* Knowledge of recent initiatives and issues in education
* Using ICT as a curriculum tool to improve standards
* English or relevant subject Degree
* DfE recognized teaching qualification such as a PGCE or equivalent
* Knowledge of the Secondary Curriculum
* A working knowledge of ICT in a classroom environment
* The ability to inspire, motivate, and challenge students
* The ability to plan and teach well-structured lessons achieving good or outstanding outcomes
* The ability to meet targets for your students
* The ability to collaborate with colleagues to prepare resources and teach your subject
* Effective communication with students, parents, and colleagues, showing respect and professionalism
* The ability to adapt teaching to meet the needs of all students
