Are you a Heating Engineer looking for work in Northamptonshire?
Morgan Hunt's Public Sector and Government client based in Northamptonshire is looking to recruit a Heating Engineer to provide operational housing maintenance services and enable the continuing improvement of the service to the Council's housing stock and corporate properties.
Under the direction of a designated Repairs Officer, you will undertake a variety of gas work as required in accordance with works orders.
This assignment has been deemed inside of IR35 and will run for 3 months initially.
Desired Candidate Qualities
* Showcase proven experience in domestic gas and heating maintenance.
* Work within social housing, local authority housing, or a similar residential maintenance environment is highly desirable.
* Diagnose, repair, maintain, and install domestic gas and central heating systems.
* Deliver high‑quality reactive maintenance services with a strong focus on achieving first‑time fix resolutions.
* Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with current regulations and industry standards.
* Provide excellent customer service when working within occupied properties.
* Previous experience working within social housing, local authority housing, or a similar residential maintenance environment is highly desirable.
Essential Requirements
* Valid Gas Safe Registration.
* Full UK Driving Licence.
* Demonstrable experience in domestic gas and heating maintenance.
* Proven ability to deliver first‑time fix reactive maintenance repairs.
* CCN1 qualified.
* CENWAT qualified.
* CKR1 qualified.
* CPA1 qualified.
* MET1 qualified.
* HTR1 qualified.
* Range Cooker qualified.
* Unvented Hot Water qualified.
