The Role:
To manage Procurement activity for all direct and indirect products and services to HSM.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Manage team of buyers to ensure departmentalobjectives are met
2. Provide training and coaching to team to ensure they can meet their potential
3. Act as escalation path for problems and issues, providing clear communication to affected areas
4. Develop and maintain departmental metrics to track performance
5. Develop and track actions to ensure that performance continues to meet agreed targets
6. Liaise with Commodity management, NPI/Transfer Manager and SIOP teams to ensure the Procurement team needs are considered and satisfied
7. Allocate workloads amongst team to ensure that each individual can meet personal and departmental objectives
8. Participate as a member of Supply Chain management in developing strategies and process improvement initiatives
Basic Qualifications:
9. Understanding of Supply Chain processes with a high degree of commercial acumen.
10. Ability to communicate effectively internally and externally.
11. Action focused, driven to deliver concrete and sustainable results.
12. Candidates must be able to demonstratea track record of delivering KPI improvement in an aerospace environment, working either independently or as part of a multifunctional team
13. Engineering knowledge/exposure is a plus
14. Significant procurement experience in Aerospace / Automotive or Electrical industries
15. IT skills – Comprehensive knowledge of Excel, Word and ERP systems (prior SAP use a distinct advantage)
16. Ability to manage team to ensure departmental objectives are met
