Afon Veterinary Centre is currently recruiting a temporary receptionist to cover sickness leave based at our Neath branch. As a Veterinary Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for our clients and their beloved pets. Your role will involve providing exceptional customer service, scheduling appointments, stock control and assisting with administrative tasks. Main tasks include:
Greet clients and their pets with a warm and friendly demeanor
Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries in a professional manner
Schedule appointments and manage the appointment calendar
Check-in and check-out clients, ensuring accurate documentation of client information, collect payments
Assist veterinary surgeon with various tasks as needed
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception area
Handle client concerns or complaints with empathy and professionalism
Covering ordering from suppliers and stock control
Perform other administrative duties as assigned
Hours:
Monday: 12 - 7pm
Tuesday: 2 - 7pm
Wednesday: 12 - 7pm
Friday: 12 - 7pm
Requirements:
Previous experience working in a veterinary clinic or animal-related field and pharmaceutical environment is preferred but not essential.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle difficult situations calmly
Proficient computer skills, including knowledge of veterinary practice management software.
Attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
