Role: Business Support Officer Company: Assemble Events Location: Huddersfield, West Yorkshire Hours: 24 30 hours a week (flexible) Salary: £27 30k per annum pro-rata About Us Assemble Events is a growing, full-service events management company partnering with universities and non-profit organisations across the globe. We deliver high-impact virtual, in-person and hybrid events across the education sector from graduations and global conferences to festivals, award ceremonies and strategic institutional events. We are now looking for an exceptional Business Support Officer to become the operational heartbeat of our business. This is not a standard admin role. The Role Working directly with the Founder and Director, you will operate at the centre of the business ensuring operations run smoothly, priorities are aligned and systems support growth. You will be trusted with real responsibility. From financial administration and HR coordination to executive support and operational improvement, your work will have visible impact across the organisation. Key Responsibilities Executive & Business Support Provide day-to-day administrative support to the Founder and Director, including diary management and scheduling Coordinate meetings, prepare agendas and manage follow-ups Assist in establishing and maintaining office procedures Financial, Operations & HR Support Process invoices and expenses Track budgets and expenditure Maintain bookkeeping records using Xero Assist with payroll administration and employee onboarding documentation Maintain accurate employee records Office management helping establish and maintain office procedures Event & Office Administration Support event delivery through administration tasks such as badge preparation, guest lists and research Assist with event logistics as required Oversee general office management and administrative processes Set up, review and improve internal systems to streamline operations and workflows Skills & Experience Essential Proven experience in an administrative, business support or office support role Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities Excellent written and verbal communication skills High level of attention to detail Strong customer customer service Proficiency in Microsoft Office and/or Google Workspace Understanding of finance and/or HR processes Proactive problem-solver with strong attention to detail Experience with Xero or similar accounting software Desirable Experience working in events, education or non-profit sectors To apply email a copy of your CV and Cover Letter by Friday 20 th March.
