Job Title: Digital Construction Specialist

Reporting to: Digital Construction Manager
Division: Central
Location: Northern Ireland
Contract: Permanent

Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-orientated Digital Construction Specialist to join our team, where they will lead on the implementation and management of BIM processes and digital technologies on a range of exciting projects.

This role would be ideal for a professional with a strong foundation in in a Design, Digital or BIM-related role, and for those who have a passion for leveraging digital tools, to enhance project outcome

Our ideal candidate will bring hands-on experience with industry-standard BIM tools, along with excellent communication and project management skills. The Digital Construction Specialist will also play a key role in coordinating with various stakeholders, to ensure the successful integration of BIM standards and digital technologies.

Key Responsibilities
•Manage and Coordinate BIM Standards: Develop, implement, and enforce ISO standards and protocols on projects.
•BIM Documentation and Workflow: Create and maintain BIM documentation and workflow processes to ensure consistency and compliance.
•Training and Support: Provide training and technical support to project teams on software and tools, including Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC).
•Project Setup and Coordination: Assist in BIM project setup and coordinate with project teams to ensure proper implementation.
•Model Review and Management: Review and manage BIM model data for conformance with client requirements.
•Technical Support: Offer technical support for BIM software, ensuring updates and fixes are applied as necessary.
•Hardware and Software Coordination: Coordinate hardware and software requirements for BIM execution.
•Stakeholder Meetings: Participate in BIM meetings with project stakeholders to resolve issues and streamline processes.
•Bid Support – Write bid responses and documentation for questions relating to Digital, BIM or Information Management.
•Trend Monitoring: Stay updated with current trends and developments in BIM and digital technologies.
•Team Support: Support junior members of the team with Digital, BIM or Information Management.

This job description is intended to give the post holder an appreciation of the role envisaged for the Digital Construction Specialist and the range of duties to be undertaken.
It does not attempt to detail every activity. Specific tasks and objectives will be agreed with the post holder at regular intervals.

Personal Specification
Required Skills & Experience:
•Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Architectural Technology, Construction Management, or a related field.
•Experience in a Design, Digital or BIM-related role within the AEC (Architecture, Engineering, and Construction) industry.
•Experience with BIM standards, particularly ISO .
•Proficiency in digital tools such as Revit, Autodesk Construction Cloud, Solibri, Revizto, or similar.
•Experience working with COBie (Construction-Operations Building information exchange) and IFC (Industry Foundation Classes) data formats.
•Experience working with common data environments (CDEs) such as Viewpoint For Projects or similar.

Desirable:
•Experience participating is ISO audits.
•Professional certifications in BIM, Digital Construction, or Information Management.
•Experience with 4D/5D BIM, reality capture (e.g., laser scanning, drones), or digital twin technologies.
•Familiarity with advanced BIM and digital technologies (e.g. Morta, DiRoots, Synchro 4D)
•Familiarity with data analytics and automation in construction workflows.
•Experience in mentoring junior staff.
