About The Role
We're seeking an experienced Project Worker to support a new service opening in Benridge, Middlesbrough. This solo placement involves supporting a vulnerable adult to maintain their tenancy and develop new skills within the community.
Job title: Project Worker (Supported Living)
Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week, with shifts from 8am-8pm on days and 8pm-8am on nights. Some flexibility is required.
Location: Benridge, Middlesbrough (TS5)

About the role
The Project Worker role offers an opportunity for a proactive individual to join an evolving Care Company. We seek a dedicated and empathetic person to provide practical and emotional support, empowering individuals to achieve their goals and aspirations.
The team will be trained and inducted before the individual's move-in. Support will focus on daily living skills, health needs, and supporting individuals with learning disabilities and/or autism.
We require a team member who is empathetic, non-judgmental, and experienced in managing challenging behaviors.
Key Responsibilities
* Support individuals in making their own choices and leading meaningful lives.
* Act as a Key Worker, ensuring team collaboration in the best interests of the individual, promoting positive behaviors.
* Meet the individual's health and well-being needs, advocate on their behalf, and involve them in decisions.
* Record outcomes confidentially, contribute to care plans, and ensure the individual's voice is heard.
* Maintain dignity and support personal care, including bathing, toileting, and dressing.
* Manage medication, including ordering, storing, and administering.
* Complete audits related to supported living.
* Encourage engagement in activities and community involvement to promote independence.
* Communicate effectively, respecting cultural and personal preferences.
* Participate in team meetings, supervision, and training to develop skills.
* Ensure safeguarding and escalate concerns appropriately.
* Lone working responsibilities as needed.
* Driving license is desirable.
Qualifications
Essential qualifications include:
* Ability to demonstrate the equivalent of Level 2 in English.
* Willingness to work towards the Care Certificate.
* Good general education standards.
* At least 2 years of team-based work experience.
* Experience in a care environment supporting people with learning disabilities, autism, or mental health needs.
