EQUANS is looking for a Payroll Team Lead to join our team based in Quorum Business Park on a permanent basis. This is a full-time role working 37.5 hours per week. The salary banding is £35,000 - £37,000 per annum, depending on skills and experience, along with a benefits package.
You will oversee the daily operations of Payroll, Pension, and Benefit administration activities across the UK, ensuring accurate and timely processing in line with current UK legislation. This role involves engaging with employees, line managers, and HR Operational leads to ensure quality and timely service delivery.
As part of our Shared Services team, you will have the flexibility to work from our new office at Quorum Business Park two days a week, with three days remote. Our culture emphasizes flexibility, support, and inclusivity, prioritizing employee wellbeing and development.

What will you deliver?
Ensure excellence in service delivery, completing activities in accordance with statutory and Equans processes.
Coordinate audit activities for your team, with timely monthly sign-offs.
Lead process mapping, transformation, and improvement initiatives, implementing changes with the Payroll Manager and HR Operations Team.
Maintain and improve process documentation, incorporating stakeholder feedback.
Motivate, manage, lead, and coach your team to meet KPIs and challenging metrics.
Support team members' development through coaching and feedback.
Plan monthly and annual activities, managing peak periods.
Build strong relationships with the Shared Service Centre Leadership Team and other teams for seamless service.
Collaborate with SAP technical teams on system requirements and data verification.
Deputise for the Payroll Manager as needed.

Who are we looking for?
Team Leader or Supervisory experience (Essential)
Coaching or developing others (Essential)
Understanding of GDPR (Essential)
Experience with HR & Payroll systems (Desirable)
Proficiency in Microsoft Office
Knowledge of GDPR and customer service skills
Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
This role requires a Basic DBS check, so the ability to pass is essential.
