Senior Site Delivery Leader – Major Civils (Construction Director Level)

We are recruiting an experienced senior leader in major civils and infrastructure delivery to join a high‐profile UK megaproject. This position will oversee complex civil engineering, heavy structures, reinforced concrete and multidisciplinary delivery activities on a programme exceeding £100M.
Suitable for professionals operating at Director or Head‐of level this role demands strong leadership, excellent stakeholder management and proven capability within highly regulated, safety‐critical environments.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead senior managers delivering major civils, structural and infrastructure packages.
* Hold or support Principal Contractor duties ensuring compliance and safety standards.
* Drive performance across safety, quality, schedule and cost.
* Manage multidisciplinary engineering, construction, quality and safety teams.
* Develop and deliver the strategy for your project area, aligned with overall programme objectives.
* Identify and resolve risks, constraints, resource challenges and delivery blockers.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with client organisations, contractors and delivery partners.
* Promote continuous improvement and lessons learned across the programme.
Essential
* Experience in major civils or infrastructure delivery.
* Proven leadership of £100M+ programmes.
* Director / Head‐of experience in client‐side or principal contractor environments.
* Strong background in heavy civils, reinforced concrete, deep foundations, marine works or large structural works.
* Experience with NEC or FIDIC contract models.
* Skilled at managing multidisciplinary teams within regulated sectors (Energy, Defence, Nuclear, Rail, Aviation).
