We have a fantastic opportunity within our Energy and Water business for an ambitious and talented Senior Project Manager – Overhead lines.
Focused on the Energy Transmission Market in Scotland, our business is evolving to ensure that we remain a major player as the UK adapts to climate change and achieves carbon net zero.
The Candidate:
Degree, HNC/HND qualified in a relevant technical discipline and/or proven experience working with clients and managing contractors within the OHL industry.
Sound understanding and experience in safety legislation, corporate safety procedures, DNO Technical Specifications & competencies, and CDM.
The successful candidate will have working knowledge and experience of at least some of the following areas:
* Tower foundations installation, including piled, buoyancy, pad, and column types.
* Tower assembly and erection techniques for L2, L3, L4, L6, L8 & L12 structures using cranes and Derrick methods.
* Conductor stringing techniques for single, twin, triple, and quad bundled systems.
* Temporary mast/tower construction.
* General OHL Dismantling techniques.
Preferably, experience working within a National Grid / SPEN / DNO environment.
Responsibilities:
The SPM Transmission will manage all aspects of Transmission projects including:
* Team mobilization and maintenance
* Commercial and financial management
* Design management
* Procurement & supply chain matters
* Planning and programming
* Client interfaces
* Safety, Quality, and Environmental standards
* Ensuring perfect delivery
