Are you a caring individual who enjoys working with people? Then join our committed community outreach team in Barrow.
As a support worker, you will support adults with mental health needs and learning disabilities to live their best lives. The successful candidate will engage with service users and build trusting, therapeutic relationships.
Responsibilities
The role includes visiting service users in their own homes or in other settings and offering practical support to enable them to live independently while also providing emotional support in accordance with their individual support plans. Responsibilities include:
1. Helping with daily living tasks such as cooking, appointments, medication, and money management.
2. Working flexible hours on a rota basis (37.5 and 22.5 hours per week).
3. Lone working and using your own initiative.
Requirements
Being a car driver and car owner (or access to a vehicle) is essential for this role; mileage allowance is paid.
