Contract: Full-time, Term Time Only
Pay: £13.75- £14.50 per day (depending on experience)
Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with a specialist provision in the Fleetwood area seeking a compassionate and proactive SEN Teaching Assistant to join their dedicated team in September 2025.
The role is based in a specialist SEN unit attached to a mainstream primary school, supporting pupils aged 5-11 with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and associated needs, including communication difficulties and sensory processing challenges.
* Provide 1:1 and small-group support for children with ASC
* Promote independence, emotional regulation, and social development
* Adapt and differentiate learning tasks under teacher guidance
* Implement EHCP targets and work closely with external professionals
* Create a safe, engaging, and supportive learning environment
* Experience working with children or young people with SEN, especially ASC (in school, residential, care or voluntary settings)
* Calm, empathetic and adaptable with excellent communication skills
* A team player with a positive, proactive approach
* Additional training (e.g. Team Teach, PECS, Makaton) is desirable but not essential
* Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
* A warm, supportive staff team and well-resourced SEN unit
* Ongoing CPD and SEN-specific training
* Strong leadership and clear behaviour support frameworks
