1:1 Tutor (Qualified Teacher / QTLS) Location: Beverley, East Yorkshire Start Date: ASAP / Ongoing Contract: Flexible (Full-Time & Part-Time Opportunities Available) Pay Rate: £26 – £35 per hour GSL Education are seeking qualified teachers (QTS/QTLS) to work as 1:1 Tutors in the Beverley area, supporting students who are currently unable to access mainstream education. This is a highly rewarding role where you will make a direct impact on a young person’s academic progress, confidence, and future pathway. We are particularly looking for tutors who can deliver Maths, English, Science, or Functional Skills at KS3 and KS4 level and Primary qualified Teachers (EYFS, KS1 and KS2). As a 1:1 Tutor you will: Deliver personalised 1:1 tuition tailored to each student’s needs and ability level. Support students who may have SEN, SEMH needs, or gaps in education. Adapt teaching strategies to re-engage learners and build confidence. Plan and deliver sessions that support academic progress and emotional wellbeing. Work towards reintegration into school, where appropriate, liaising with schools and other professionals. Track and report on student progress. Who This Role Would Suit Qualified Teachers (QTS or QTLS) looking for a more flexible or alternative teaching role. Tutors with experience supporting students outside of mainstream settings. Professionals with a passion for inclusive education and personalised learning. Teachers confident delivering core subjects at KS1–KS4 level. The Ideal Tutor Will Have: QTS, QTLS, or equivalent teaching qualification. Experience teaching the Primary Curriculum or Maths, English, Science, or Functional Skills. Strong understanding of differentiation and SEN support strategies. A patient, adaptable, and empathetic approach. The ability to build strong, trusting relationships with students.
