GSL Education are searching for an enthusiastic History Teacher to join schools across Barnsley (S70, S71), delivering engaging lessons that develop critical thinking, analysis, and a love of learning. As History Teacher, you will plan and deliver structured History lessons, supporting students in understanding historical concepts, evaluating sources, and forming well-reasoned arguments in a positive and inclusive classroom environment. Key Duties of History Teacher: Deliver well-prepared History lessons in line with curriculum expectations Encourage enquiry, discussion, and independent thinking Support students in analysing evidence and developing historical arguments Maintain a positive and well-managed classroom environment Assess pupil progress and provide constructive feedback Candidate requirements: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised qualification Experience teaching History in a school setting Strong classroom management and communication skills Commitment to safeguarding and inclusive education An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply) If you are a passionate History Teacher ready to inspire students, we welcome your application.
