Finance Assistant

Our client is looking for someone to join their small team to work in the Finance Shared Services team in Chelmsford, which oversees activities for the UK operations and other countries across EMEA, APAC. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and possesses strong organisational skills, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to prioritise effectively.
Would suit someone who is looking for their next role within Accounts or is looking to get back to this discipline.
Day-to-day of the role:
* Posting cash across numerous entities in various currencies and completing associated bank reconciliations.
* Preparing and coordinating payments using online banking systems.
* Managing the mailbox and resolving ad-hoc queries.
* Conducting period-end activities such as bank reconciliations, review, and clearance of control accounts.
* Administering online banking systems and handling bank mandates.
* Supporting ad-hoc project work, process, and system enhancements.
* Addressing audit queries.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
* Working towards AAT or equivalent accounting experience.
* Strong Excel skills and proficiency in MS Office.
* Experience with ERP systems, ideally SAP, IFS, or XA Infor.
* Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
* Ability to adapt to a changing environment and support continuous improvement.
* Good teamworking skills within the team and with wider business colleagues.
* Understanding of online banking systems.
