Clawford Lakes Resort and Spa has a mix of quality self-catering accommodation which includes lodges, apartments, cocoons, lake pods, floating lodges, and lodges. Clawford Lakes Resort and Spa also provides a range of catering and leisure facilities on site which include a Spa with infinity pool and leisure activity lake.
About the role
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Lead Chef to take responsibility for the effective day-to-day management of our kitchen operations. This role is well-suited to a skilled chef looking to progress into a leadership position without the additional administrative duties of a Head Chef.
You will need to be highly organised and confident in prioritising tasks to ensure high standards are always maintained. Great communication and leadership skills plus a positive attitude are key traits for this role.
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee and manage all aspects of kitchen operations during service
* Plan, develop, and implement seasonal menus, along with allergen information effectively shared to the team.
* Prepare and cook high-quality dishes to consistently excellent standards.
* Manage ordering and stock control efficiently
* Supervise, support, and motivate the kitchen team to maintain a professional and productive working environment
* Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and health & safety regulations
Requirements:
* Previous experience as a Sous Chef, Junior Sous, or similar leadership role in a professional kitchen
* Strong culinary skills with a passion for high-quality, creative food
* Proven ability to manage and motivate a team effectively
* Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
* Ability to work under pressure while maintaining standards
* To be able to work Collaboratory with other senior members of the restaurant.

Pay: Up to £35,000.00 per year
