Paralegal – Motor Damage Only
DWF is seeking a motivated and detail‑oriented Paralegal with experience in Motor Damage to join our thriving team in Liverpool.
Our Motor Volume – Damage Only team represents a range of high‑profile insurer clients, defending claims arising from Road Traffic Accidents (RTAs) where losses have been incurred. These include small claims and Ministry of Justice (MOJ) Stage 3 cases.
In this role you will assist, under supervision, with a defendant motor insurance caseload, working towards satisfactory outcomes for our clients. You will be expected to deliver a high standard of service while maintaining accurate management information in line with client service level agreements (SLAs). The role is hybrid; office attendance is required in Liverpool 2–3 days per week.
Responsibilities
* Assist in managing a caseload of motor damage claims from inception to resolution.
* Draft legal documents and correspondence.
* Liaise with clients, insurers, third parties and other solicitors.
* Conduct legal research and assist with case preparation.
* Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date case management records.
* Support senior fee earners with administrative and procedural tasks.
Essential Qualifications
* Previous experience handling/working on claims in a legal environment.
* Ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks while working to strict deadlines.
* Excellent attention to detail and the ability to quickly and carefully analyse files and sensitive data.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general computer literacy.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Desirable Qualifications
* Proven experience assisting on a motor defendant caseload, with sound knowledge of the MOJ and Small Track processes.
* Previous experience working with the Visual Files case management system.
* Demonstrable knowledge of the importance and use of Management Information.
