The post holder would be required to carry out assessments for young people presenting with mental health difficulties in the community, as well as providing a range of interventions and treatments, within an agreed work plan.
The successful candidate will be part of a stimulating and supportive multidisciplinary child and adolescent mental health team (CAMHS). Working with children and adolescents and their families with complex mental health needs.
This post provides an excellent opportunity for practitioners who have recently completed RTT or CAPS training. We have a strong track record of supporting staff in transitioning from training to qualified posts.
If you have EMDR/DBT training, you will have the opportunity to utilize these skills to deliver specialist interventions on the specialist pathway.

Main duties of the job
* To work in community CAMHS as a mental health practitioner, as part of a multidisciplinary team working alongside professionals including consultant psychiatrists, family therapists, psychologists, psychotherapists, nurses, and allied health professionals.
* To coordinate care for a caseload of young people and be responsible for delivering evidence-based interventions from assessment and treatment through to discharge.
