Finance Assistant sought by a global, £multibillion plastics manufacturer with close to 200 locations worldwide. The Role: Reporting to the Financial Controller, as a Finance Assistant your responsibilities will include: * Subsidiary accounting, involving a range of tasks from salaries, journals, accruals and prepayments, pension, reconciliations, TB, fixed assets and producing monthly accounts * Subsidiary budgeting * Cashflow forecasting * VAT reconciliations * Financial accounts reconciliations and processes (such as BS, PL & GRNI rec etc) * Financial accounting general enquiries * Audit assistance: year-end, interim and statutory audit, HMRC government audits and other audit requirements * Year End reporting and other adhoc reporting requirements * Annual stock check attendance * Treasury cover: raising payments, inter-company netting, bank & group correspondence and bank reconciliations The successful Finance Assistant will demonstrate: * Self-driven, friendly & a positive disposition, with a clear focus on high quality and delivering results * Accuracy, attention to detail, excellent organisation skills * Actively participates in team work to ensure organisational goals are met * The ability to prioritise own workload & multitask * Previous accounting experience, AAT/CIMA/ACCA part-qualified or equivalent * Computer literate in all MS Office applications * Previous working knowledge o...
