We’re looking for a Programme Support Officer to join our Skills Bootcamps team helping to commission and manage flexible, high-quality training opportunities that support adults to develop valuable new skills and progress in work.
As a Programme Support Officer, you will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day commissioning and management of the Skills Bootcamp programme. You’ll work closely with the Skills Bootcamp Contract and Commissioning Officer and other colleagues across the team to provide vital administrative and organisational support. You’ll help coordinate programme activity, manage key data and documents, arrange meetings, and respond to enquiries, ensuring that the programme runs smoothly and efficiently.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys a varied workload and wants to be part of a team helping manage a complex programme across the county.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Organising and supporting meetings and contract management
2. Using a range of IT systems to manage information and records
3. Managing programme inbox and replying to queries promptly
4. Supporting wider project coordination and administrative tasks
You’ll need to be organised, detail-oriented and able to manage your workload in a fast-paced environment. We’re looking for someone who enjoys working with others, can use their initiative, and takes pride in providing high-quality support.

About Us
WSCC has been successful in securing significant funding from the Department for Education (DfE) to deliver a range of Skills Bootcamps. These are flexible courses for adults that typically last up to 16 weeks and cover multiple sectors.
Skills Bootcamps help individuals develop priority skills in high-demand areas, working in partnership with training providers and employers.
As part of the Government’s nationally funded skills offer, these courses are free to West Sussex residents aged 19 and over who are in work, self-employed, unemployed, or returning to work.
