Introduction: A well-established nursery in Woodford is seeking a dedicated Room Leader to support and inspire the babies' room. Shift Pattern & Working Hours
* Full-time, permanent position.
* 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
* Day shifts within nursery opening hours.
* Overtime available where agreed.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the daily operation of the babies' room, ensuring exceptional EYFS practice, safeguarding standards, and a child-led approach.
* Plan, deliver, and evaluate age-appropriate activities that promote early development, curiosity, and secure attachments.
* Support, mentor, and guide Nursery Practitioners, Nursery Nurses, and Early Years Educators to maintain high-quality practice.
* Build strong, positive relationships with parents and carers through daily feedback, developmental updates, and open communication.
* Ensure robust health & safety, risk assessments, and compliance with Ofsted and early years regulatory requirements.
* Maintain accurate observations, learning journals, and assessments in line with EYFS frameworks.
Requirements
* Level 3 or higher qualification in Early Years (e.g., Early Years Educator, Nursery Practitioner, Nursery Nurse).
* Strong experience working within an early years setting, ideally in a leader, senior practitioner, or room-based leadership role.
* Excellent understanding of EYFS, safeguarding, child development, and Ofsted expectations.
* Confident, warm communicator with strong organisational skills and a positive, proactive attitude.
* Passion for nurturing babies' development and supporting a collaborative, child-focused team.
