Overview
We are seeking an enthusiastic, capable and values-driven Talent Development Manager to join our newly established Talent Management, Leadership and Learning service. This is an exciting career progression opportunity for a highly skilled Band 6 who is ready to step into a Band 7 role and apply their talent development expertise in a senior level.
This new post sits at the heart of our People and Culture strategy and offers the opportunity to move beyond single‑programme delivery. You will lead the design, coordination and delivery of a rich portfolio of inclusive talent development, CPD and coaching and mentoring programmes aligned to our organisation’s purpose and its Careers Promise to staff.
As a senior professional within the People and Culture Directorate, you will work collaboratively across clinical, corporate and operational teams, acting as a trusted partner to managers and leaders.
Key Responsibilities
You will apply your experience of talent development, leadership or learning delivery in a wider context, helping to embed consistent and high‑quality approaches across the organisation.
Inclusion, equity and belonging will be central to everything you do. You will help translate inclusive talent principles into practical, operational solutions, with a clear focus on addressing barriers to progression and supporting greater representation at senior levels.
Ideal Candidate
* Has built solid experience delivering talent, leadership or learning interventions
* Is confident managing programmes, stakeholders and competing priorities
* Enjoys designing and developing practical, scalable learning solutions
* Is ready to grow their influence beyond a single service or portfolio
