Salary: £49,300 – £65,950 per annum
Location: Cambridge / Hybrid (minimum 2 days per week in the office)
Contract: 18 months fixed term, full time (35 hours per week)
Are you ready to embrace the power of AI to take our Digital Mock Service product into the future?
As part of our commitment to innovation in education, our Digital Exams programme is developing new AI-powered services. These exciting initiatives aim to enhance the efficiency, accuracy and scalability of our various content and marking processes. To help us drive this transformation, we are looking for a Product Owner to innovate, deliver and embed these cutting-edge services into the organisation beginning with our Digital Mock Service.
We are Cambridge University Press & Assessment, a world-leading academic publisher and assessment organisation and a proud part of the University of Cambridge.
About The Role
With the support of a collaborative, multi-disciplinary team you will be responsible for defining and delivering new AI services and capabilities for digital exams across OCR and Cambridge International with a focus on the Digital Mock Service. As part of this role you will:
* Manage and own the development of a suite of AI services, driving those developments through definition, development and launch.
* Help define and communicate the product vision, strategy and roadmap for AI content generation and assessment marking services on the Digital Mock Service.
* Own the prioritisation of AI marking services requirements, focusing initially on the Digital Mock Service by defining and communicating these requirements and acceptance criteria clearly to developers and ensuring they reflect the needs of their users throughout and expanding outward after successful performance.
* Engage with key stakeholders across the organisation to ensure alignment and buy-in for the vision, strategy and roadmap.
* Support the business through the change and adoption of these new AI services into existing processes within OCR and Cambridge International.
About You
We are looking for someone who has proven experience as a Product Owner, Product Manager or similar role. Familiarity with AI and machine learning technologies is essential, how they can be applied to content development, marking and quality assurance is preferred. While a technical background is not a must, an understanding of the technical aspects would be beneficial.
To Be Successful In This Role, You Will Have
Extensive Product Owner experience and be comfortable working in an agile environment with a strong ability to prioritise, plan, and manage product backlogs.
Knowledge and expertise on operational assessment content and marking processes, and broad experience of the assessment delivery cycle.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to communicate complex ideas to both technical and non-technical teams.
Strong experience of driving business change through the successful integration of new technology or services.
A passion for making a difference through education, in line with Cambridge University's mission.
