Are you an experienced leader in Supported Housing? Are you looking for an opportunity to shape services and lead on continuous improvements?
We're looking for a Service Director to join our Senior Leadership Team (SLT) at Horton Housing Association. Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping strategy, driving innovation, and delivering high-quality housing and support services across our schemes.
As a key member of SLT, you'll lead a portfolio of services, manage senior colleagues, and ensure compliance with regulatory frameworks. You'll work collaboratively to deliver our Business Plan, champion trauma-informed and strength-based approaches, and represent Horton Housing at local, regional, and national levels.
What You'll Be Doing
* Leading and supporting Heads of Service to deliver outstanding outcomes
* Driving strategic planning and organisational development
* Ensuring compliance with housing regulations, safeguarding, and health & safety
* Preparing reports and maintaining strong relationships with our Boards and Committees
* Representing Horton Housing to commissioners and stakeholders
* Leading service development, tenders, and new initiatives
* Promoting a culture of inclusion, co-production, and continuous improvement
What We're Looking For
* Senior-level experience in supported housing and homelessness services
* A deep understanding of the challenges faced by the people we support
* Proven ability to lead inclusive, person-centred service delivery
* Strong knowledge of housing management, tenancy sustainment, and compliance
* Experience working with Local Authorities and securing funding
* Strategic thinking, change management, and stakeholder engagement skills
* High-level literacy, numeracy, and analytical capabilities
* Commitment to Equality, Diversity & Inclusion and trauma-informed practice
What We're Offering
This exciting opportunity offers a salary of £76,500 per annum, as well as car allowance and an annual bonus of up to 10% (depending on achieving agreed targets and sufficient funds available and in line with the SLT Remuneration Policy). We also offer generous annual leave entitlement of six weeks plus bank holidays, as well as an employee loan scheme and employee assistance programme.
This role requires a full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle that can be insured for business use. Please be aware that Horton Housing Association is not a sponsoring organisation. Therefore the successful applicant must already possess the right to work in the UK or be able to secure the right to work in the UK independently.
