Civil Design Engineer - Cambridge

We're working with a highly respected, award-winning civil and structural engineering consultancy in central London, who are looking to add a Civil Design Engineer to their growing team. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a company known for its innovative work across residential, education, arts and urban regeneration projects. They have a lovely office, a great team culture, and a strong pipeline of work.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare flood risk assessments and drainage strategies
* Design surface and foul water drainage systems, including SUDS
* Carry out earthwork volume calculations
* Prepare Section 104, 106, 38 and 278 submissions
* Coordinate build-over agreements
* Use software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and MicroDrainage/InfoDrainage
* Work on your own smaller projects while supporting larger schemes under the guidance of experienced senior engineers
* Maintain a good balance of autonomy and support, ideal for progressing in your career
What They're Looking For
* 3-5 years experience in a similar civil engineering design role
* Knowledge of AutoCAD and Civil 3D
* Experience with drainage design software (MicroDrainage, InfoDrainage, or Causeway Flow)
* Solid understanding of UK design and approval processes
* Ideally degree-qualified in Civil Engineering or similar
