Description
* Manage and process payroll operations accurately and on time
* Ensure compliance with relevant tax regulations and employment laws
* Maintain and update payroll records, including deductions and benefits
* Collaborate with the accounting team to reconcile payroll accounts
* Address payroll-related queries from employees and stakeholders
* Prepare and submit payroll reports to management as required
* Implement process improvements to enhance payroll efficiency
* Stay updated with changes in payroll legislation and industry standards
* Support with the training of more junior members of the team
Profile
A successful Payroll Officer should have:
* Experience in payroll processing
* Knowledge of payroll software and accounting systems
* A solid understanding of tax regulations and employment laws
* Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
* Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines efficiently
* Effective communication skills to liaise with internal and external stakeholders
* Experience of managing/training individuals is desirable but not essential
