Telent's Network Services division is seeking a Cloud Engineer to join our successful Engineering team based in Southampton. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work with a talented team of Cloud, Network, and Security specialists, supporting your growth and exposure to challenging projects.
The Cloud Engineer will develop and strengthen relationships with internal and external customers, providing proactive service and acting as a bridge between the engineering team and Service Delivery, Projects, and Service Desk to ensure high customer satisfaction.

Cloud Engineer - Responsibilities include:
* Training internal engineering staff and customers on products and solutions.
* Supporting Professional Services and Sales opportunities within Network Services.
* Monitoring customer incidents and reporting on nominated accounts.
* Highlighting trends, security threats, or technical bulletins affecting customers.
* Managing documentation and technical information related to customer platforms and Telent Cloud Services (TCS).
* Following internal and external processes regarding task allocation, completion, reporting, and change management.
* Assisting with Proof of Concept (PoC), Type Approval activities, and lab testing.
* Creating and reviewing technical documentation such as TA, POC, RFC, WI, and SoW.
* Pre-staging equipment for customer sites as part of projects or installs.
* Participating in customer meetings and support reviews.
* Ensuring accurate and timely timesheet submissions.
* Maintaining certifications aligned with business objectives.
* Completing and submitting overtime and expenses accurately.
* Adhering to GDPR and security policies.
Who you are:
The ideal Cloud Engineer will have an interest in Cloud technologies, including Azure, Linux, MS SCCM, and MS Exchange, with support environment experience and On-premise Cloud Services exposure. We will help you develop your skills further.
* VCP 6.x-DCV (Desirable)
* MCSA: Microsoft Windows Server 2016 or above
* Networking Concepts knowledge
* Microsoft SQL Server 2016 or above, especially clustering and availability groups
* Azure MFA and Identity Services
* Microsoft System Configuration Manager
* Microsoft Exchange Server 2016 and above
* VMware vCloud Director knowledge
* Leadership qualities and a proactive attitude
* Strong work ethic and ownership
* Hands-on with relevant technology
* Collaborative and trustworthy relationship-building skills
* Continuous improvement mindset
* Excellent communication skills
* Problem-solving passion
* Ability to work independently or as part of a team
