GSL Education are seeking a compassionate and committed SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming school in Bentley, DN5. As an SEN TA, you will provide crucial support to students with a variety of special educational needs, helping them access the curriculum and succeed both academically and socially.
Responsibilities as an SEN Teaching Assistant:
* Provide one-to-one and small group support to students with SEN.
* Implement individualised learning plans in collaboration with the class teacher and SENCO.
* Assist with classroom management, promoting positive behaviour and engagement.
* Support students in building confidence and developing key social and academic skills.
* Work closely with parents, teachers, and external professionals to ensure students receive appropriate support.
Requirements for SEN Teaching Assistant:
* Previous experience working with children with SEN is highly desirable.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* A patient, adaptable, and caring approach to supporting students.
* A valid, enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
* A CV covering the last 10 years of employment history, with any gaps clearly explained.
