We are looking for a Senior Product Designer to join our Digital & Tech Transformation department.
As a Senior Product Designer, you will shape end-to-end product journeys that are simple, intuitive, emotionally resonant and distinctly Virgin Active. You’ll operate across discovery, definition, design and delivery, crafting experiences that drive behaviour change, measurable outcomes and business impact. You’ll collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, Research and Brand to create world-class wellness experiences across digital touchpoints.
The Role
1. Translate member needs, business goals and behavioural insights into clear problem definitions aligned with product outcomes.
2. Design intuitive, coherent and simple end-to-end journeys across digital touchpoints.
3. Use and contribute to the design system to ensure clarity, consistency and delivery efficiency.
4. Create flows, wireframes, prototypes and visual designs with clear rationale and decision logic.
5. Collaborate with Product and Engineering to shape feasible, scalable solutions before delivery.
6. Use research insights, experimentation and behavioural understanding to guide design direction.
7. Communicate design thinking, trade-offs and rationale clearly to support confident decision-making.
8. Contribute to critique, feedback loops and team rituals to elevate design quality and alignment.
9. Support post-launch learning through validation, measurement and iteration.
Experience
10. Strong experience designing consumer digital products and delivering impact in live environments.
11. A portfolio demonstrating systems thinking, end-to-end journeys and behaviourally informed design.
12. High capability in interaction design, visual craft and systems thinking, with strong attention to detail.
13. Confidence using research insights and behavioural data to shape design decisions.
14. High proficiency with Figma and modern design tools.
15. Ability to create clarity, frame problems and drive alignment across cross-functional partners.
16. Strong communication skills with the ability to explain rationale, priorities and trade-offs clearly.
17. A mindset focused on behaviour change, quality craft, continuous learning and raising the bar.
