The role of the Field Care Supervisor is to support the delivery of high-quality care support services by performing various functions in the field, including assessing and reviewing individual services, and supervising, instructing, and supporting care workers.
Key responsibilities include working with Care Coordinators to plan effective care worker rotas tailored to individual needs and worker skills, conducting regular reviews and risk assessments of services, participating in multidisciplinary reviews, shadowing new care workers to ensure competence, and observing and evaluating care worker practice during routine supervision or in response to performance concerns.
While primarily based in the community, the role also involves some office-based administrative tasks.
What you’ll do
* Support high-quality care delivery through field functions such as assessments and supervision.
* Assist in planning care worker rotas considering individual needs and skills.
* Conduct reviews and risk assessments of services.
* Participate in multidisciplinary reviews of service users’ needs.
* Shadow and evaluate new care workers.
* Perform on-site observations and evaluations of care practice.
Qualifications
* Experience in initial risk and needs assessments in various settings such as homes, hospitals, or care facilities.
* Ability to work collaboratively with service users, families, healthcare professionals, and others to deliver holistic care.
