Commercial HVAC & Refrigeration Technician

We are seeking a skilled and motivated commercial HVAC & refrigeration technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing commercial HVAC/R systems and hot‑side kitchen equipment while upholding EPA regulations and delivering exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities
* Install, maintain, and repair HVAC/R systems including air conditioning, refrigeration, and ventilation units.
* Install, maintain, and repair commercial kitchen hot‑side equipment such as fryers, ovens, griddles, grills, and food‑warming equipment.
* Follow EPA regulations for the conservation, recovery, and recycling of refrigerants; ensure proper handling and disposal of fluids and pressurized gases.
* Install electrical, plumbing, and refrigerant components in a wide variety of commercial equipment.
* Clean and inspect systems as part of preventive maintenance to enhance equipment performance and reduce failure risk.
* Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date records of work performed using digital platforms.
* Diagnose and repair or replace worn or defective parts; conduct operational testing to confirm functionality.
* Recommend maintenance procedures or system upgrades to improve overall efficiency and performance.
* Professionally communicate with customers to explain system issues, repair options, and preventive measures.
Qualifications
* Experience in commercial HVAC/R service and repair and/or completed job‑related education.
* EPA Certification required or the ability to obtain upon employment.
* Strong understanding of refrigeration cycle and electrical/plumbing fundamentals.
* Experience with commercial kitchen equipment is a plus.
* Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
* Excellent communication and customer service skills.
* Proficiency with digital record‑keeping platforms and mobile service software.
* Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
